Meet Kristen
A lifelong love for dogs, built into a career
My love for dogs started long before this company ever had a name.
I grew up in the Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee, surrounded by stray dogs and other neighborhood dogs who seemed to find their way to me. As a child, I was always outside with them finding adventures. I gave them clever names and proudly became the unofficial leader of the pack.
One of my earliest memories of working with dogs was bathing a neighbor’s dog that often roamed around with me and the others. When the dog’s owners approached me the next day, I was sure I was in trouble. Instead, they asked if they could start paying me to help care for their dog. That moment sparked something in me. What started as a child’s natural love for animals slowly became the beginning of a lifelong career in dog care.
Over the years, that passion has followed me wherever I have lived. My family eventually moved back to my mom’s roots in the Chicagoland area, and later I spent time in Louisville, Kentucky, where I cared for many beloved dog sitting clients. I also gained hands-on experience working in several dog daycares and grooming facilities.
After moving back to the Chicagoland area, I continued working in dog care. First at another daycare, then at a dog training facility. I decided it was time to create something of my own: a company built around care that is patient, knowledgeable, and compassionate for dogs and the people who love them!
I am also currently studying with the Companion Animal Sciences Institute to become a canine behaviorist. Understanding dogs beyond basic care is incredibly facinating to me. Every dog has their own personality, history, needs, fears, joys, and ways of communicating. My goal is to meet each dog where they are and provide care that helps them feel safe, understood, and loved.
Meet Sierra
I hit the jackpot when I adopted Sierra, well I suppose I should say we both did. She’s a rescue dog who came from a severe neglect case but you would never know it. She has been through so much, but watching her grow, heal, and learn to trust has been such a gift. I can’t imagine life without her now.
Sierra is now the face of my company and a daily reminder of why this work matters. All dogs deserve patience, kindness, and love.
